The Information Use Management and Policy Institute, with co-sponsors including the American Society for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) and a number of federal agencies, will hold an International Policy Symposium in the Spring 2004. This symposium, entitled Government Information Technology Policy in the Networked Environment, will examine a number of information policy issues in the areas of privacy, security, E-Government, access to government information, Freedom of Information Act, electronic records management, civil rights, copyright, intellectual property, digital rights management, digital preservation and archiving, and accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
