McClure and Bishop Give Presentation on E-Government at the Florida Library Association 2010 Annual Conference
Charles R. McClure, Director, and Bradley Wade Bishop, Graduate Research Associate, made a presentation April 6, 2010 in Orlando at the Florida Library Association. The presentation
offered an update on an E-Government project the Institute is completing for the Pasco County Library Cooperative and the State Library and Archives of Florida (State Library). This program is funded under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA), from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, administered by Florida Department of State, Division of Library and Information Services.
The presentation summarized the eight LSTA E-government projects currently funded through the State Library. McClure and Bishop provided a handout summarizing these projects as well as listing contact information for each.
- Handout: A Summary of Florida's LSTA-Funded E-Government Programs 2009-2010.
- PPT Slides: Overview of Selected E-Gov Activities in Florida.
McClure noted that increasingly, public libraries in Florida are being recognized for a range of innovative and creative projects that are being completed in the state. In addition, McClure and Bishop discussed strategies for how the Information Institute would organize the evaluation efforts for assessing these eight projects.
