Spears and Alemanne win School of Information Awards
Laura I. Spears, the Institute’s Research Coordinator, won the School of Information’s Outstanding Doctoral Student Award for her scholarship in the field of library and information studies and her service to the School. Nicole D. Alemanne, a postdoctoral researcher at the Information Institute, won the School of Information’s Outstanding Dissertation Award for her dissertation, entitled Mapping the Social World Boundaries of Interdisciplinary Teams: Processes for Working Across Disciplines. The dissertation award recognizes overall importance, rigorous methodology, innovative approach, significance of findings, and potential impact on the field.
Three former Institute graduate research associates also won School of Information awards at the ceremony: Jonathan Hollister was designated the Outstanding Graduate Lead Instructor, Jisue Lee was honored as the Outstanding Doctoral Graduate Research Assistant, and Lynnsey Weissenberger won the Outstanding Doctoral Research Award.
