Library Services & Technology Act Toolkit

The LSTA Toolkit is based on a comprehensive review of data collection tools from past Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant files, identifying best practices in the use of data gathering tools and data gathering methodology for all types of LSTA projects. Practical procedures in the toolkit help library staff integrate these tools into their data collection procedures to measure outcomes such as automation, technology training, literacy, and service to elders. The toolkit provides guidance on issues such as means of modifying the tools to fit local purposes, who should gather the data, how to gather the data, how to record the data, how to report project progress, and strategies for reporting project successes and results.
