History
Established in 1996, the Usability Center is a unit of the School of Library & Information Studies' Information Use Management and Policy Institute (Information Institute). The goal of the Usability Center is to integrate usability into the curriculum and research of the School of Library & Information Studies. To this end, the Information Institute seeks external funding to conduct usability studies of a wide variety of products and services. The School of Library & Information Studies also makes use of the Usability Center in both its undergraduate and graduate programs.
